Feminism is about degrading men? Really?

Not less than more times we see, people taking a backstep from regarding themselves as ‘feminists’ coz they feel it’s women-centric.

We meet people who equate being a feminist with someone who despises men on a regular basis in person and on the internet. As a feminist, I think that in order for women to fully attain equality, patriarchy must be dismantled. However, this does not imply that we must overthrow the current system in order to establish a new one, such as matriarchy.

The goal is for no one to have a privileged existence at the expense of the oppressed gender. This is the distinction between a misandrist and a feminist. Both men and girls are tormented by patriarchy. It teaches women that they must have a husband in order to survive, males that they must be powerful and dominant, and gay people that they do not exist. It's a structure that weakens each of its pieces, but we continue to support it.

When you label yourself a feminist, you get a lot of negative feedback, which is why a lot of people avoid using the phrase. You have to deal with charges that you only care about women, while the truth is that every day you hear a story about how women are treated that is intrinsically ugly and eventually becomes the cause for which you raise your voice. Misandry has always been a thing. As a result of the atrocities perpetrated against women, some people have developed an anti-male attitude.

Only a few people are able to represent this. Pseudofeminism is the callous rebranding of women who speak out in ways that the majority finds objectionable. This isn't to say that many people have a misunderstanding of feminism. We're not here to pass judgment, but to work toward a societal shift in which women aren't made to feel guilty for pursuing their dreams while neglecting their families, and men aren't shamed if they want to do the same.

Feminism, according to Merriam-Webster, is a collection of political movements, philosophies, and social movements with the purpose of defining, establishing, and achieving political, economic, personal, and social equality for women. This includes working to ensure that women have equal access to educational and professional opportunities as men. This does not imply that feminists want to change the power structure; rather, the concept of feminism is to dismantle the patriarchal system.

The patriarchal paradigm does not guarantee that a guy will benefit from every circumstance. Both men and women are affected. It does refer to the idea that women should have husbands to look after them, that women are overly emotional, and that women are the primary caregivers for their families, but it also refers to the idea that a man cannot show emotion, cannot be sexually assaulted or abused, and cannot take care of children as well as a woman can.
