Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Girl Up Shine is a club under Girl Up Campaign by United Nations Foundation. The Girl Up Program was initially dedicated to securing equal opportunities for underprivileged adolescent girls in developing countries such as Ethiopia, Malawi, Guatemala, and India. However, now the scope and horizons have all expanded, and the community has started working towards a society where all and everyone feels secured regardless of what their gender is. Girl Up Shine is our little contribution towards achieving this society.
Our Story
Our story doesn't start like the usual 'Long long ago', haha. It starts from something that we hear everyday- 'Feminism is hypocrisy' , 'Feminism gives powers to women' , 'Feminism exploits men'. None of this is actually true, however, we often tend to believe in it.
So, this is where it all started, the urge to refine the definition of feminism in the modern world. Three of us planned to get the club registered and then took a team of passionate and talented people aboard. And we were all set!
